Screens in user profile forms
Details tab
Profile Name: Name of the user profile.
- The list of users associated with the profile is defined in the Employee Directory.
REST API: Used to indicate if the profile can access Web services provided by the REST API (box is checked) or not (box is not checked).

Master profiles: List of profiles authorized to assign the current profile to users. See the example.
- Click
to select them.
- By default, only the profile of the current user is defined as the master profile.
(1) Modules: List of business modules for the active license. Each module provides access to a set of menus.
- Check the modules authorized for the user profile.
defines a standard menu configuration for each module.
- When you select or unselect a module, the menus associated with it will automatically be checked or unchecked respectively in the Menus section.
- You can remove menus from the configuration.
For the Operation module:
- Standard configuration: Operation, Administration, Integration menus
- Custom configuration: Administration menu removed
- Edit rights, i.e. the right to manipulate objects such as filters, views and wizards in the module menus, are defined for each module.

- Check the menus authorized for the user profile and configure them. Select the menu items, access rights, accessible objects (wizards, filters, views, tabs or sub-tabs), and information to be displayed on the Home page.

Procedure: How to create a user profile
Step 1: Create the user profile.
1. Select Administration > Access Management > User Profiles in the menu.
2. Select the method for creating the user profile.
- You can create a new user profile.
- Click
.
- Enter the name of the new user profile.
- Click Save.
The new user profile will appear in the list of user profiles. - Click
to open the new user profile form.
- Click
- You can also use a template.
- Select the user profile template you want.
- Run the Duplicate wizard (Note: Available only in List mode).
- Enter a name for the new user profile and click Finish.
The new user profile will appear in the list of user profiles. - Click
to open the new user profile form.
Step 2: Select the master profiles for the user profile. See the example.
1. Click next to the Master profiles field.
2. Check the profiles you want and click OK.
Step 3: Select and configure the modules authorized for the user profile.

2. Click next to each selected module.
3. Check the relevant boxes to assign edit rights and display rights. See the description.
Step 4: Select and configure the menus authorized for the user profile.

- When you select a module, the menus associated with it will automatically be checked. Uncheck a menu to remove it from the selection.
- You cannot add menus other than the predefined ones.
2. Click Actions to configure the items in each selected menu.
- Check the menu items authorized for the user profile.
- To select sub-menu items, check the box next to the parent menu and restrict the selection by unselecting the items you do not want.
- Assign creation and modification rights for each selected item.
- Check the first box Add to assign creation rights.
- Check the second box Update to assign modification rights.
- If the user profile is only authorized to view objects, you should not select any box.
- Specify the
objects authorized for each selected item by clicking the corresponding button.
- Wizards: Select the Wizardwizards you want. If you want to select all of them, click Wizards at the top of the tree structure.
- Filters: Select the filters you want.
- Views: Select the views you want.
- Dialog: Select the tabs/sub-tabs to be displayed in forms. If you want to select all of them, click Dialog at the top of the tree structure.
- Check the first box Add to assign creation rights.
- Check the second box Update to assign modification rights.
- If the user profile is only authorized to view objects, you should not select any box.
- Click Representation to select the secondary form presentations authorized for the user profile instead of the main form presentation. Click
to view one of the form presentations.
- Click OK to save the menu items.
3. Select the information to be displayed on the Home page of each menu authorized for the user profile.
- Click Trends.
- Select the trends you want.
- Click OK.
- Click Home Page.
- Select the information panes to be displayed, e.g. schedule, trends, or news articles. Note: The information panes available are specific to the selected menu.
- Click
