Self Help Online Studio - The User Interface
The Online Studio contains a set of functionalities designed for:
- Writers: Writers can monitor their Self Help projects using statistical reports and test their procedures. This also provides writers with quick access to the Desktop Studio's edit mode to update procedures.
- Administrators (both server and domain): Administrators can monitor their Self Help projects, import metadata and lists of users, and manage virtual agents and dictionaries, etc.
Structure of the graphic interface
The Online Studio is made up of the following zones:
- (1) Toolbar
- (2) Menu pane
- (3) Home page
- (4) Status bar
Toolbar
: List of notifications for immediate and scheduled extraction tasks, metadata import tasks and user import tasks. Click a notification to display the task details.
: Information on the logged-in user. Clic the zone to display a menu.
: Interface language of the Online Studio. Click the icon to select another language.
- Display Profile: Used to display the Online Studio access information, the list of Self Help domains and projects for the logged-in user and the corresponding access rights.
- Change my Password: Used to modify the password for accessing the Online Studio.
: Used to log out of the Online Studio.
: Access help resources.
- Show virtual agent: Used to activate the wiki's virtual agent, Vicky, in the Online Studio (box is checked - the button for calling the agent will appear at the bottom right of each page), or hide it (box is not checked).
- Wiki: Direct link to the wiki's home page.
- About Self Help: Displays technical information on the Self Help server. Note: You can also view this information by clicking the version number found in the status bar.
Menu pane
Note: The user profile will determine the menu items displayed.
: Used to expand or minimize the menu pane.
: Used to select the language for displaying the titles of procedures and Self Help projects in the Recently changed pane and in charts.
- This will not change the language of the Online Studio interface.
- The <Unnamed> mention will be displayed if there is no translation for the selected language.

Procedure: How to access the Online Studio
Via a URL

1. Enter the URL of the Self Help server in the URL bar of your Web browser as shown below.
https://<server_name>/studio/login

2. Specify your login and password in the login page.
The Online Studio will appear in your Web browser. See the description.

Via the Desktop Studio

1. Select Mode > Online Studio in the menu in the Desktop Studio.
- The Online Studio will automatically open in a new tab of your Web browser.
- The Home page will appear.
