Platform Version

This screen provides information on the latest versions of components installed on the application server.

It is also used for Service Apps tenant management.


  • When you modify information on the Service Apps tenant, you do not need to restart the smoServer service.
  • Service Apps tenant management can also be performed in Service Apps, with limited options. You do this in the Admin Panel > Tenant Management.

Information on the version of the platform

This displays the latest installed version of EasyVista services, databases and PHP.

  • smoBroker: Its role is to perform load balancing across the different application servers, count licenses, and notify all smoServer services of modifications to the platform configuration.
  • smoServer: This is the main service (application engine).
  • Easyvista Server: Its role is to manage communication between Service Manager and Service Apps and display infotips in Service Manager.


  • Data DB: This contains customer data, e.g. equipment, users, incidents, or workflows, for a given EasyVista account. 
  • Admin DB: This contains the technical configuration of the installation performed, e.g. location of data, number of accounts used. 
  • Reference DB: This contains references common to the account, namely certain default values that are required for the application to work correctly.
  • Config DB: This contains the configuration of the customer environment and interface, e.g. configuration of screens, filters, or views, for a given EasyVista account.
  • BackOffice DB: This contains the activity logs and temp tables used for integrations.

Service Apps Administration: Platform

Used to manage the Service Apps tenant and configure team management rules.

Name: Name of tenant.

FQDN: Fully Qualified Domain Name of the Service Apps tenant, corresponding to the folder name of the tenant on the machine, in the following format: com.folder_name.

Hostname: Hostname of the Service Apps tenant, corresponding to the last subdomain.

Log Level: Configuration level of Service Apps platform logs.

  • Platform: The log parameters are those in the log.ini file.
  • Custom: The log parameters are managed via the tenant.
  • The log configuration level will determine whether actions, information, errors and warnings are saved.

    • When the box is checked, you should complete the Message field that will appear.

Private Key (The Private Key already exists): Encryption key required for contextual apps called in Service Manager.


App Center Manager: Service Manager user account defined as the Service Apps platform administrator, i.e. App Center Manager profile.

  • The Service Apps platform administrator is the only one who can access user and team management in Service Apps via the Admin Panel.

Teams Creation Settings: Rules for managing teams based on Service Manager data.

  • Create User's Groups as Teams:
    • New Service Manager groups for the user will be added as Service Apps teams.
    • The names of existing teams will be updated in the company language.
  • Create User's Profile as Teams:
    • New user profiles will be created as Service Apps teams. 
    • The names of existing profiles will be updated in the company language.
  • Create User's Language as Teams:
    • New user languages will be created as Service Apps teams. 
    • The names of existing languages will be updated (language name = LANGUAGE_SYSTEM_ALIAS column). 
  • Delete Removed Groups and Profiles from Teams:
    • Teams associated with groups or profiles that no longer exist in Service Manager will be deleted.

Save: Used to save the Service Apps tenant configuration.

Create Teams: Used to create all teams immediately based on the management rules.

Delete Teams: Used to delete all teams immediately based on the management rules.

Service Apps Administration: Aliases

Used to manage aliases.

Alias Name: Name of tenant.

Hostname: Hostname of the tenant, corresponding to the last subdomain defined for the tenant.

Procedure: How to configure the Service Apps tenant

Step 1: In Service Manager, select the Service Apps platform administrator 

1. Log in to Service Manager.

2. Select Administration > Platform Activity > Platform Version in the menu.

3. Select Service Apps Administration: Platform

4. Select the Service Manager user to be defined as the Service Apps platform administrator using the App Center Manager box.

Step 2: In Service Apps, check that the tenant is correctly configured 

1. Log in to Service Apps using the Service Apps administrator account.

2. Check that the user has administrator rights and can access the Admin Panel.
