OpenLDAP is an open source implementation of the LDAP protocol released under the terms of the OpenLDAP Public License. It is a directory that lists human, hardware and software resources and is used to manage access rights to authentication mechanisms in a secure way.

To manage access rights to corporate resources, customers can:

  • Integrate their OpenLDAP directory service in Product name - ev itsm.png and use the authentication mechanism of this directory -  Open url.png See LDAP authentication.
  • Use the Product name - ev itsm.png native access rights management tool.


  • Besides the source code, there are compiled versions for  GNU/Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, AIX, HP-UX, Mac OS X, Solaris and Microsoft Windows (2000, XP).
