Skype Integration
SAS_IntegrationNotRESTIntroduction
You can integrate third-party systems with Service Apps in many ways. The method you select will depend on business requirements, architectural and security constraints as well as the characteristics specific to each third-party application or service. You can use the REST, CSV, Online CSV data sources and the HTML Script widget.
This document describes a standard integration process that has already been implemented in a customer context.
To find out more about this integration, please do not hesitate to contact your EasyVista contact, or your service provider and integrator.
Integration Summary
This integration is used to add the ,
and
buttons to an
application so users can launch the Skype client installed on their workstation with one click. Users can then automatically make a call and/or display an instant message window with a predefined contact.
You can create and configure shared Skype accounts and let multiple users sign into the same account at the same time (on different computers). Users of your applications can then call these contacts (e.g. Service Desk, HR Services, Home) at any time.
Note: Users should choose the Chat option to change contacts and call or send an instant message to another contact.
