Objectives
In this tutorial, you will learn to use EV Reach's Process Automation framework to create and schedule a report listing all or a specific installed software program on a set of targeted servers or computers. This report can be modified so the report contains granular details.

- You will need access to the full version of EV Reach and its Process Automation framework. If you don’t currently own a valid license, you can download a free version of our remote access software on our website. The 15-day trial is free and no credit card is required.

Step by Step Tutorial
Step 1: Starting a new Scope Action
1. Go to the Global Management via Scope Action console.
2 Create a new scope action with the desired name and scope.
Step 2: Creating the Action Module
1. Under Execute the following Action(s), click on Add/Remove > Report Computer Property > Software Products
2 Choose the items that will appear on the report:
Step 3: Detecting a specific software product
1. Use the section called "Only if the following is true" to detect a specific software product or series of products.
2 Add the following condition: Add \ Remove --> Set Computer Condition --> Software Products --> Product Name
- Condition is "Begins With" or "Contains" or "EQUALS" depending on the desired results.
- The Desired Value should be the text that corresponds with the name of the product that is being reported.
- This condition will create a report for any machine that has any version of Java 7 installed.
- OPTIONAL - If a specific software product is NOT INSTALLED
3. If you wish to see a report of all machines that DO NOT have a specific software installed, set the Condition to "NOT ="
4. Click the Set Scope Button and choose the following option:
5. The report will list all machines that do not have the specified software installed.
Step 4: Viewing the Report
Here is a sample output of the report. The report can be modified to include more dimensions such as computer name, active directory account name, install location, install source.
