EV Reach Remote Control - Authorizing Non-Admins to Initiate a Session
You may want to give a user on your network the ability to initiate remote control sessions while they are not admins on the remote computer.
To authorize non-admin users to use remote control, you have two options.
Option 1 - Create an AD Security Group called "EV Reach Remote Control Admins"
Create this security group anywhere in your AD structure. The group must be a "DOMAIN LOCAL SECURITY GROUP."
Add user accounts to it for any user you wish to have the ability to initiate remote control sessions.
Option 2 - Create a local security group called "EV Reach Remote Control Admins" on any workstation
Create this security group directly on the local machine. Add users to this group from the domain who should have the ability to control that specific workstation.
Next Step:
Add “EV Reach Remote Control Admins” to Local Security Policy – Local Policies – User Rights Assignment – (POLICY) “Access this computer from the network” on the devices you wish to grant Non Admins Remote Control.
You can apply via Group Policy or Manual.
