Managing Your Workspace

EV Reach RC provides many flexible options for creating a work space to view and manage remote connections. Use the Monitoring View or Float View to create a dashboard or remote control connections. Save customized work spaces for easy reconnecting to important resources.

Working with Multiple Sessions

EV Reach RC’s tabbed interface allows multi-screen monitoring and control over many computers at once. Open as many tabbed connections as needed and easily switch between them. Mix and match different connection protocols with different tabbed views.

To add a new connection tab, simply click on the add button located in the connection tab area:

If multiple tabs exists, EV Reach exposes the Monitoring View automatically. This view allows you to monitor the screen activity and performance counters of all tabs simultaneously. The Monitoring View can be selected by click on the F2 shortcut key (this is configurable in the options), or clicking on the corresponding button in the control bar:

Floating Views

You can float any connection tab into an independent window, and move it anywhere. This is useful if you have multiple monitors and wish to have different connection on each of them.

To float a connection tab, select it and:

  • Use the Float View button in the command bar:

  • Right-click on the connection tab and select Float View

  • If you are in the Monitoring View, right click on any thumbnail and select Float View

Managing multiple floating Windows

When you have several floating windows, you can automatically arrange them using the Float View drop down options. These options will automatically float or un-float all windows or arrange the currently floating windows in a customized, specific arrangement.
