EV Observe - Reports - Activity Reports
Activity reports are reports dedicated to the sharing of information such as SLA data as well as the capacity of configuration items (CI) present in the IT infrastructure.
Each activity report:
- Is grouped in a category depending on whether it belongs to the internal IT infrastructure of the company and its sites, or whether it belongs to a customer's IT infrastructure.

- Can be sent automatically to a list of users at specific intervals based on the sending policy defined.

CommonNotes
- Report categories are defined by EasyVista.
- You cannot add new ones.
- You must select the category before creating a new report. You cannot modify it subsequently.

- You cannot add new ones or modify their structure.
- The templates available will depend on the report category.
- The creation of a report will not lead to the creation of a template. You will simply be able to define its scope and use.

- Activity reports whose visibility is private can only be accessed by their creator.
- You can consult existing activity reports in the Monitoring > Reports menu.
Screens description
General information
GeneralInformationTab
Title: Name of the activity report.
Created by: Name of the user who created the activity report followed by the creation date.
Upd by: Name of the user who last modified the activity report followed by the modification date.
Visibility: Visibility of the activity report.
Public: Reports contain only public data and can be consulted by all users.
Private: Reports can contain both public and private data and can be consulted only by its creator.
Type: Type of report.
Report: Activity reports displaying SLA data and CI capacity.
Widget: Reports for defining the scope of certain types of Dataviz widgets.
Template: Template used by the activity report. See the list

Fields displayed based on the template
- File format: Depending on the type of report, activity reports can be generated in the following formats: PDF, XLSX, CSV or HTML.
- Period: Period from which data in the activity report is extracted. Depending on the template, you may be required to specify context-specific fields, such as the end date of the period.

CompanyTab
List of companies and sites to be included in the scope of the activity report.
- You can select multiple companies at the same time based on their VIP level (By category option) or you can manually select the ones you want from the list (By company option).

List of host categories to be included in or excluded from the scope of the activity report.
- You can filter hosts by business impact, tag and status.
- You can select multiple hosts at the same time based on the category to which they belong (By category option) or you can manually select the ones you want from the list (By host option).

List of services to be included in or excluded from the scope of the activity report.
- You can filter services by business impact.

You define the policy for sharing the activity report by specifying how and when it should be sent.

How to create a new activity report

Step 1: Select the company where you want to implement the new activity report

1. Go to the Web app.
2. Select the company from the company tree structure.
Notes:
- The selected company must be associated with a Box.
- You can create a new company.

Step 2: Create the new activity report
1. Select Configuration > Reporting in the menu.
2. Select the category of the activity report, e.g. customer base for internal use, customer base for external use or internal IT.
3. Click Add.
4. Specify the information for the activity report.
- Select the
Report type.
- Select the template you want.
- Specify the information required in the General information tab.
- Select each tab and define the scope of the activity report.

Step 3: Check the activity report
1. Select Monitoring > Reports in the menu.
2. Click next to the new activity report.
3. Select the relevant company if the category is Customer base for external use.
The activity report will appear in a new Web browser.
4. Select Configuration > Reporting in the menu to correct the configuration of the report if required.
How to define the sending policy for a report
Step 1: Select the report
1. Select Configuration > Reporting in the menu.
.2 Click the name of the relevant report.
The window for configuring the report will appear.
3. Select the Sending policy tab.
Step 2: Configure the sending policy of the report
1. Select the language for generating the report.
2. Select and define the method for sending the report.
None
The report will not be sent to any user. It can only be consulted via the monitoring interface.
Email
The report will be sent by email to one or more internal or external recipients.
- Enter the sender email address, the email subject and body.
- Select the customer contacts to whom the report should be sent.
- Select the internal contacts to whom the report should be sent.
- Specify the frequency, day and time for sending the report.
Network share
The report will be placed in a shared folder and can be viewed only by users with the appropriate access rights.
- Enter the path of the shared folder.
- Specify the domain, login and password of the user authorized to access the shared folder.
- Specify the frequency, day and time for sending the report.
3. Click Apply.
The report will automatically be sent based on the sending policy defined.
