EV Observe - World Map Widget
This type of widget is used to display a geographical map with the location of configuration items (CI) in the IT infrastructure.
- The location of each company/site is indicated by a marker whose color
provides information on the current operating state of CIs, i.e. hosts and user services.

- Display several maps on a given Dataviz to enable low-level monitoring (hosts) or high-level monitoring (user services) on multiple sites.
- Perform extensive multi-site monitoring on a single screen
Display the map of the EV Observe company and its sites for monitoring hosts
Display the map of the EV Observe company and its sites for monitoring user services
Notes
- This widget is implemented in a report using the Weather map - Hosts or Weather map - User services template. You define the scope of the report in the Configuration > Reporting menu.

Widget header
Enable / Disable sound: Used to enable or disable notification sounds.
- Show table / Hide table: Used to show or hide the current company and its sites and filter them by name.
: This indicates that the operating state of all CIs is normal, i.e. OK status, for the company/site.
: This indicates the number of CIs whose status is Critical for the company/site.
Full screen: Used to display the widget in full screen mode, e.g. on a flat-screen TV.
- Click
Quit full screen at the top right or press the <Esc> key on your keyboard to return to the normal display.

Map display
- Data for the current company or one of its sites is displayed. Data is restricted to the site to which the user belongs, as well as the user's sites and subsites.
- The information displayed is from the Monitoring > IT Weather menu.
Functionalities of the map
: Used to zoom in or out on the map.
: Used to re-center and display the entire map.
: Click a marker to zoom in and display the geographical location of CIs.
- Only for markers whose color is
(indicating CIs in error) at maximum zoom level:
- Click the marker to show the list of CIs in error associated with the site in a popup pane.
- You can click one of the CI names to display its details in a popup window.
Note: The data displayed is from the Details form of the CI (host or user service).
- You can click the Last Check date of a control to run it immediately.
- You can click the status in error to acknowledge or create a ticket (Note: Only for acknowledged elements in green).
- Click the marker to show the list of CIs in error associated with the site in a popup pane.
Procedure: How to configure the widget
Step 1: Configure a report displaying a geographical map of CIs in the IT infrastructure
1. Select Configuration > Reporting in the menu.
2. Create or modify a Widget report using the Weather map - Hosts or Weather map - User services template.
3. Define the scope of the report by specifying the information in different tabs. See the description
4. Repeat the procedure for each map to be displayed in the Dataviz.
Step 2: Add the widget to the Dataviz
1. Click and drag the World Map widget to the workspace in the graphic editor.
All reports using the Weather map - Hosts or Weather map - User services template will appear.
2. Select the report you want to display in the Dataviz.
- If the Dataviz is in public mode, only reports whose visibility is public will be displayed.
- If the Dataviz is in private mode, reports whose visibility is both public and private will be displayed.
3. Click Apply.
The geographical map of the selected report will appear.
