  • Web accessibility:

The template is used to manage changes.

It is shipped in both the Desktop and Mobile versions.

Desktop version

It is made up of the following sections:

  • (1) Top banner:
    • Date of the next Change Advisory Board (CAB) meeting.
    • Forward Schedule of Change: Access the list of change requests.
    • CMDB: Access configuration Items (CI).
  • (3) Forms for creating new change requests. These forms are also available on every page of the app.

Details of a request

The list of change requests is displayed in a column by status. Click one of the tickets to see the details of the request.

  • Add Notes button: Add a note to the request.
  • Attachments button: Add a document if required and view existing attachments.

Click a configuration item to see its details.

  • (1): Used to search for configuration items by name.
  • (2): Used to filter the display based on CI availability.
  • (3): Create a new change request (standard, urgent or normal) directly associated with the selected CI using the New Request buttons.
  • (4) Pending Changes tab: List of current requests related to the CI.
  • (5) Previous Changes tab: List of previous requests related to the CI.

Procedure: How to install and use the template

Caution: The template uses reports that retrieve data from the SD_REQUEST.REQUIRED_DOWNTIME and SD_REQUEST.SYSTEM_AFFECTED fields in the SD_REQUEST table. They are available from version 2016.1.267.6 of Product name - ev itsm.png. If you are using an earlier version, you should contact your Logo - EasyVista.png administrator to upgrade your Product name - ev itsm.png platform.

Step 1: Import the template theme to Product name - ev sas.png.

1. Download the file below to your workstation.
         Download icon.png  Desktop and Mobile versions of the theme

2. Import the downloaded file to Product name - ev sas.png by clicking Apps - Gallery - Import icon.png Import in the App Gallery toolbar.

3. Check that the theme is a public theme in the Product name - ev sas.png theme editor:

  • Click Apps - Gallery - Theme design icon.png Theme Design in the App Gallery toolbar.
  • Click Apps - Manage themes icon.png to select the theme.
  • Click Apps - Application properties icon.png to display the general properties.
  • In the Published property, select Published Padlock open icon.png.
  • Click OK.

4. (Optional) Modify the theme in line with the style guide of your company.

5. Click EVApps - GUI - Save icon.png to save the theme.
 

Step 2: Import the template to Product name - ev sas.png.

1. Download the file below to your workstation.
         Download icon.png  Desktop and Mobile versions

2. Import the downloaded file to Product name - ev sas.png by clicking Apps - Gallery - Import icon.png Import in the App Gallery toolbar.

3. Check that the theme is correctly displayed by the template.

  • Click Apps - Gallery - Edit properties icon.png next to the app name in the App Gallery to display the general properties.
  • Select the theme you just imported from the Theme list.
  • Click OK.
     

Step 3: Import reports to Product name - ev itsm.png.

1. Download the files below to your workstation.

Note: Parent queries are not exported with the reports. This means that the items you update will not be overwritten when reports are imported.

Step 4: Create your Product name - ev sas.png apps.

Best Practice icon.png You should always work on a duplicate of the template. This enables you to import new improved versions provided by Logo - EasyVista.png without having to replace your apps.

1. Duplicate the template you just imported.

2. Rename the duplicated template.

3. Associate an image with it.

4. Create the shortcut pointing to your app.

5. Repeat this procedure for each new app created using the same template.
